Vishalandra Dakur, B.Tech,, received the appreciation and blessings from Sri S. Radha Krishnan, President of India for his art at the age of 10 years in a large public meeting at Nizam College Grounds in the year 1961, and the president garlanded him in appreciation of his painting of 4 ft height at that tender age.
In 2009, he is awarded Sri Krishnarao Ketker Award for Landscape in the 117 the All India Annual Art Exhibition 2009, org by Bombay Art Soceity, at Jahangir Art Gallery.
Madam Indira Gandhi, Prime Minister of India blessed and appreciated his paintings. His art was also praised internationally by her Excellency Madame Jacquelyn Kennedy when he painted and presented to her the water colour painting of John F Kennedy, President of America. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, seen his art and appreciated and is at their Charitable organization in London, He presented to Yuri Gagarin, Soviet Cosmonaut with his portrait at Hyderabad, India., Sree G.Rami Reddy, Vice Chancellor of Open University, New Delhi., Sree Gopal Krishna, Justice of AP High Courts... etc. and many others have commissioned portraits.
Vishalandra Dakur passed drawing and painting Course by State Board of Technical Education and Fine art, Hyderabad ,AP, at the age 13 years in first class Distinction in 1963, and afterwards he graduate in Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Osmania University in 1973.
During leisure time he has developed his art talent His figurative work is appreciated by many art lovers. His photo realism paintings are so good to see.. His collectors are throughout India and abroad. Chief Ministers, Ministers, politicians, District Collectors, Chief Secretaries of A.P Govt, Principals of colleges, Vice chancellors of Universities ,M.D. of Banks, Corporate officers, spl. class prominent contractors. Collected his paintings. Vishalandra Dakur is a born Artist, and at the age of 9 years he could produce
best sketches of cine actors in his schools books. Afterwards he learned
water colors and oil color paintings. He produced even at the age of 10 years
good water color portraits of great dignitaries of India. He painted and In 1964, Press Club of Hyderabad has arranged a one man show Exhibition of his paintings, which was inaugurated by the then Cultural MinisterSri.M.R.AppaRao. Many higher officers like Chief Secretaries have praised his art. His art is also praised by International Artist like Mr. Boris Valejo, and also by Mr.M.F.Hussain, India. Sree Pratap Mullik, Bombay. Many Newspapers and Weekly Magazines have published about his Art from 1960 onwards.
Hon'ble speaker of A.P. assembly Sree Suresh Reddy opened his solo show in I.C.C.R Gallery, Hyderabad in 2004 He has participated in many exhibitions and grabbed first and second prizes. Recently his solo exhibition was at Chitamayee, State Art Gallery, Hyderabad on 9th July, 2008. and in 2008,Sezal Encasa Art Gallery, Mumbai, in 2009 Jahangir Art Gallery( Bombay Art Soceity Annual Compitition), He participated in APW Gallery New York,(World of Imagination vol 2) He received 1st Award in Landscape from Bombay Art Soceity, Mumbai.in 2009.
